My second Celtic Woman anniversary

Today is November 23, 2009. Two years ago in 2007 this date fell on the day after Thanksgiving, it was on this date that I saw my first Celtic Woman DVD. I had never heard of these girls before and did not know what to expect and did not realize how my life would be turned around by these amazing artists.
Family members think I am crazy and maybe I am, but these ladies awoke something in me that I did not know was there. I never knew that I have Celtic ancestry in my blood, but I do and it's mostly all Celtic except for a little Cherokee Indian from my Mother's side. Scottish, Irish and some Welsh are in there and was awoken by the voices of Angels and one fiery fiddler who has won her way into my heart with her amazing talent, her beauty and her kindness.
These girls opened the doors to a world of great music that I had never heard before. Living in Alabama, most of the music you hear is country, rock and gospel, you occasionally hear some bluegrass (which, by the way, has it's roots in Irish music) but you never hear anything else. The Irish songs, especially the ones sung in the Irish language, are amazingly beautiful and the Gaelic words speak to your heart.
Am I crazy? Probably so but I am not alone, my wife shares my insanity with me and together we enjoy listening to the music and watching these ladies in concert. We have met these wonderful ladies and nothing can describe the friendliness and kindness that these ladies posess. Angels, the only word that comes to mind to describe them.

Tá na mná is áille agus cumasach sa domhan.

Slán go fóill,
Phillip
